Modi: Send Diwali wishes to Jawans
Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the citizens of India to give their wishes to the Jawans. Talking about the greatness of soldiers of India, Modi said that when 1.25 crore people stand with the soldiers, their power increases by 1.25 crore times.
The soldiers of India are in a very pressurized position at present. The tensions near the border are high. For this reason, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a campaign on Sunday. The campaign is for people to send their Diwali greetings and messages to soldiers guarding the borders of the country. Modi asked everyone to send their Diwali wishes to the soldier to boost their morale.
On a day when everyone would celebrating with fireworks, the soldiers guard the borders of the country with firearms.
Under the #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign, people can send their messages to the soldiers. It will be possible to send wishes from the Narendra Modi App or through MyGov.in or through the All India Radio. Doordarshan will also be conducting a program to let people share their emotions with the Armed Forces.
The PM started the campaign by tweeting his message under the #Sandesh2Soldiers. He tweeted for everyone to do the same, adding that it will boost the morale of soldiers and make them happy.
He asked everyone to remember the sacrifice of the armed forces this Diwali. This new campaign comes right after the successful surgical strikes done by the Indian Army. The soldiers now have to be on high alert on the border as tensions between India and Pakistan are very high.
There are possibilities for attacks to happen any time. There has been firing from Pakistan side several times in the very recent past. The soldiers now have to stay on alert even with the festival coming up.
Prime Minister Modi has spent his last two Diwalis as PM with the Army as well.
