IRCTC offers special cashback to women | Fusion - WeRIndia

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced a special cashback offer to women travellers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

As per the announcement, women passengers who travel in the Delhi-Lucknow and Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express trains will get a cashback of 5 per cent on the ticket fare.

Both these trains operate four days a week, i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The cashback offer in these trains is valid till August 24 and on trips made during the specified period.

Women passengers can use this offer multiple times during the period. The discount is credited every time to the same account from which the ticket is booked.

The offer is also applicable to all women passengers who booked their tickets to travel during the period. That means those who booked their tickets before the announcement to travel during the specified period can also get a discount on their tickets.

Meanwhile, IRCTC launched a special Goa tour package for the North-Eastern states. The tour package consists of 11 nights and 12 days.

IRCTC offers two types of packages for the Goa tour. The AC class and sleeper class.

The cost of the AC package is ₹18,900, which includes train fare, daily meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, hotel accommodation, local transport and a guide.

The tour package costs ₹11,340 for the sleeper class. It includes train fare, food, hotel accommodation and local transport.

Tourists can visit popular beaches, churches and religious places of Goa as part of this tour package.

IRCTC charges full fare for all, including children aged above five years.

Tourists can board the train at specific destinations to avail this special Goa tour package. For instance, Assamese can board at Badarpur, Guwahati and New Bongaigaon junctions.
