Govt launches Har Ghar Tiranga 2024 to celebrate India’s Independence Day
The government of India kicked off the third edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on August 9, 2024, in the lead-up to India’s 78th Independence Day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to participate actively by sharing selfies with the Tricolour and changing their profile pictures to the Indian flag.
During his recent post on X, PM Modi emphasized the importance of making the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a memorable mass movement, encouraging everyone to celebrate the national flag with enthusiasm.
He also provided a platform, harghartiranga.com, for citizens to upload their selfies with the Tricolour and generate participation certificates.
This initiative follows PM Modi’s earlier call for a nationwide promotion of the Indian flag during the 112th edition of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program in July.
The BJP has planned several events to mark this campaign, including Tiranga Yatras in every assembly constituency from August 11 to August 13.
Additionally, August 14 will be observed as Partition Remembrance Day with silent marches across all districts.
From August 13 to 15, the national flag will be hoisted at homes, offices and business establishments.
Many BJP leaders and public representatives will actively participate in these Independence Day celebrations, to ensure the campaign’s success across the country.
Since its inception in 2022, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens across India.
The BJP has made extensive preparations for this year’s edition, with party president J.P. Nadda directing all office bearers to ensure its success.
Meetings with state officials, district heads, and divisional committees are being held nationwide to coordinate efforts and maximize participation.
To participate in the campaign and obtain a Har Ghar Tiranga certificate, citizens can visit the official website, enter their details, and upload a selfie with the Tricolour.
By doing so, they can proudly display their involvement in this patriotic initiative, celebrating India’s independence with unity and pride.
