India is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2022.

Hence, the Government of India initiated many programmes to mark the celebrations. Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is part of these celebrations to mark 75 years of India’s Independence.

The campaign encourages citizens of India to hoist the national flag at their residences to represent the national integrity and the hopes of over 1.41 billion people. It intends to promote awareness among people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the campaign on July 22, 2022, to allow all citizens to participate in this event. Indians can display the national flag at their homes as part of this programme.


Those who do not display the flag can join the campaign virtually and get a certificate.

The Flag Code has been amended to enable the hoisting of the national flag day and night. However, these rules emphasize the need to maintain the dignity of the national flag while disposing of or discarding it after use.

PM Modi asked citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes from August 13 to August 15 as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. He also asked people to change their profile pictures to tricolour on social media accounts from August 2 to August 15. Thus, citizens can display the national flag on their social media profiles.

Citizens can register for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and download the certificate.

If you want to register for the campaign, visit harghartiranga.com. Enter your name and mobile number. Provide a profile picture. Access your location on the website and pin the flag at your location.

You will get a certificate after the completion of the process. Download it. So far, over two crores of flags have been pinned. More than 50 lakhs of selfies with flags have been uploaded to the portal.
