Government to formulate Unlock 3.0 rules | Fusion - WeRIndia

While the Unlock 2.0 will be ending on July 31, the Indian government is now preparing guidelines for Unlock 3.0 to be implemented from August.

The new guidelines will be released soon and the sources stated that schools, colleges and metro services shall remain closed.

Cinema halls, gyms and theatres are likely to reopen with social distancing norms.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) is consulting with all states regarding the reopening of educational institutions. The Ministry sought feedback from the parents on the issue and most of the parents are not favoured to send their children to schools at this time.

The gyms might be allowed to reopen as the owners are constantly requesting the government.

At the same time, the theatre owners are also requesting the government to allow them to reopen the cinema halls at least 50 per cent seating capacity.

In this context, some multiplex theatres are arranging paperless tickets, seat distancing etc. They are also making arrangements for sanitizing to follow safety precautions. To sanitize theatre between shows, longer intervals have been proposed. Discussions are ongoing about air-conditioning inside the theatre, which may increase the risk of infection with an infected person in the cinema hall.

Another demand is to ease restrictions on international flights and allow passengers with a negative test report to board flights.

It is proposed for the flight passengers to have an on-arrival test at the airport with their own cost. Passengers who have symptoms will also be not allowed to travel. It is suggested to restrict senior citizens and younger children from travelling.

Considering the demands from various entities and the current situation, the government is formulating new guidelines to be released before the end of Unlock 2.0.
