Arunachal Pradesh people use ‘Jai Hind’ to greet each other
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India has stated that Arunachal Pradesh is the only state in our country where people greet each other with “Jai Hind”. The PM stated the tradition followed here is an inspiration to the entire nation. He complimented the people of the state for their patriotic nature.
Modi visited the stated and was addressing the 29th statehood day celebration at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar. He was dressed in traditional Nyishi attire of Byopa (head gear), Pomo (Jacket) and Zilang (Apatani shawl). He told the people to keep the tradition up.
“Yesterday I was at Rajasthan, the westernmost part of the country and today I am in the eastern-most state,” Modi said referring to India’s unity amid rich diversity. The PM has wished the citizens about the occasion of the state. He stated that the people of the state will witness more progress in the state in the coming five years than they have seen in the last 28 years. He said that he felt proud to give the Krishi Karman Commendation Award to Arunachal Pradesh for the record food grain production which encouraged the farming community.
