Centre announces ₹24,000 crore scheme for tribal welfare

In a significant announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared a ₹24,000 crore scheme for the welfare of tribals in India during a public meeting in the Betul district.

The scheme is set to be launched on Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary, celebrated nationwide as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

Emphasizing the BJP’s strong position in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections on November 17, Modi highlighted the overwhelming trust and affection the party has garnered in the state.

He asserted that the Congress has conceded defeat, resorting to desperate measures like seeking the support of seers in the final phase of campaigning.

Addressing the Congress’s dwindling credibility, Modi asserted that the party’s reliance on luck indicates the ineffectiveness of its promises.

He reiterated the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people.

In this context, he emphasized the accomplishments of the abrogation of Article 370, laws against triple talaq, and the construction of the Ram temple.

Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi’s recent comment about mobile phones being “Made in China,” Modi stated that India has become the second-largest manufacturer of mobile phones globally.

He criticized the Congress for being out of touch with ground realities and failing to acknowledge the country’s achievements.

Modi highlighted the tremendous growth in the mobile phone manufacturing sector, contrasting the annual production of mobile phones worth less than ₹20,000 crore during the Congress era to the current production exceeding ₹3.5 lakh crore.

He proudly stated that mobile phones worth ₹1 lakh crore are being exported to various countries.

Emphasizing the success of the “vocal for local” initiative, Modi commended the surge in indigenous goods flooding the market during Diwali, receiving praise from the business community.

He pointed out that lacking a viable agenda, the Congress has leaders who prefer staying at home, conceding defeat in the face of Modi’s guarantees.

As the nation gears up to celebrate Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary, the announcement of the ₹24,000 crore tribal welfare scheme underscores the BJP’s commitment to development and welfare.

At the same time, it highlights the Congress’s challenges in presenting a credible alternative in the upcoming elections.
