Apple’s new iPad launched
Apple has launched their newest version of the world famous iPad. It comes with an impressive display size of 9.7-inch iPad with Retina display.
The tablet device starts at $329 (around ₹21,400). The highest version of it, the Wi-Fi+Cellular model comes at a price of $459 (approximately ₹30,000).
This new version is an upgrade of the 2014 model. It improved in many areas like cameras, processor etc. It comes with the latest version of iOS.
The new iPad is coming to India in April this year.
The iPad Mini 4 was also upgraded. It now has more storage space at the same price. The 128GB Wi-Fi model is $399 (approximately ₹26,000). The 128GB Wi-Fi+Cellular model starts at $529 (about ₹34,500).
The new iPad come in Silver, Gold and Space Gray color options. The display supports a resolution of 2048×1536.
Its processor is the Apple’s A9 chipset with 64-bit architecture, along with the M9 motion co-processor.
The camera on the rear is 8Mp with autofocus and f/2.4 aperture. The camera has the capability to record at Full HD at 30fps and even slow motion videos at 120fps.
The front camera is a 1.2MP FaceTime HD camera with f/2.2 aperture and can perform HD video recording.
The home button of the iPad comes with a fingerprint sensor as well.
The new iPad is powered by a 32.4Wh non-removable battery. It can last about 10 hours of web surfing.
Philip Schiller says that the customers are going to love this new iPad because of the high resolution screens. The new processor is makes the performance smooth and without trouble he says.
The Apple app store contains more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for such devices he says.
Apple also launched their iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus PRODUCT (RED) Special Edition smartphones under an initiative to fight AIDS.
