Use Neem Oil for Scabies
Neem has several health benefits. Whether it is the leaf or bark oil, neem is very beneficial in treating certain health conditions especially skin diseases.
Scabies is one of the most annoying skin conditions with itching, rashness and redness on the skin.
Neem oil is very helpful for people who are suffering with this skin condition by soothing the symptoms.
It also moisturizes and softens the dry skin if it is applied on the affected areas.
Here are some ways to use neem oil to alleviate the symptoms of scabies:
- First clean the affected area with normal water. Put some drops of neem oil onto a clean cloth and dab it on the affected area.
- Mix one tablespoon of neem oil with one teaspoon of coconut oil and apply it on the affected area. Wait until the oil is completely absorbed into the skin and wash it off.
- Mix two tablespoons of liquid soap to 4 tablespoons of oil thoroughly. Add this to your bathing water. You can either soak yourself using this water in a bathtub or bath directly by slowly rubbing on the affected area. Use a neem-based moisturizing lotion after bath for better results.
- Add one teaspoon of coconut oil and lemon juice each, 2 tablespoons of neem oil, one tablespoon of turmeric powder and 7 drops of tea tree essential oil into a bowl to make a thick paste. Apply this on the skin that has problem and wait for 30 minutes. Then, wash it off using normal water. Using this paste regularly helps ease condition.
- Neem oil and aloe vera paste is also helpful in treating the condition. Add one tablespoon of neem oil to 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel to make a paste. You can also add 2 or 3 drops of clove oil to this paste. Apply this on the skin and wash it off after 30 minutes.
