Essential oils have been used in aromatherapy for several years to improve the mood and health of people. These oils have antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal properties. They are used for massage, inhalation and topical application.
Aromatherapy helps treat many conditions like fatigue, nausea, insomnia, stress, anxiety, body and muscle pains, headaches, and menstrual problems.
However, not all essential oils benefit all people. Each oil has different chemical compounds. Hence, they can cause chemical reactions in the body and produce adverse effects.
