Home remedies for common cold
Having common cold is very irritating and it can disrupt your entire lifestyle till it is gone. The symptoms like stuffy nose, watery eyes, and sneezing can be very annoying. Using analgesics is one way to reduce the symptoms of common cold. Here are some home remedies to relieve cough, cold and chest congestion.
Ginger Tea
Boil some slices of ginger after properly crushing them. Mix this with one teaspoon of honey and drink it three times a day. It provides instant relief.
Use some steam
Boil water to a very hot temperature. Inhale this steam by covering yourself under a blanket. You can mix lavender oil or peppermint oil to the water for better relief.
Drink cinnamon and cardamom tea
You can make a special tea called “kehwa” with these ingredients. Add a clove of cinnamon, three cloves of cardamom, few crushed almonds, some sugar (optional) into a bowl of boiling water. This tea can be very helpful in fighting off common cold.
Honey onion syrup
You can make this by slicing three to four red onions horizontally. Mix these slices in a bowl by adding honey to it. Seal it off for 12 hours which forms a syrup. This is very good against common cold.
