Here are some stockbrokers who offer Demat accounts:
- Opening Wisdom Capital Demat account is free. Account maintenance charge is ₹500 after one year. They charge the lowest brokerage and Demat transaction fee of ₹25 per transaction. Transactions are settled fast.
- HDFC Securities Demat Account is also free to open. It has a network of over 250 branches. They provide transparent services and timely information. Account maintenance charge is ₹750. A Demat transaction fee of ₹25 per transaction is charged.
- Opening Angel Broking Demat account is free. It provides fundamental and technical research guidance. An annual charge of ₹450 and Demat transaction fee of ₹25 are charged. It offers loans against shares.
- Zerodha offers discount broking model and one can open a Demat account with his/her Aadhaar card. Opening charges for a Demat account are ₹100. Annual maintenance is ₹300. Equity delivery transactions are free on BSE and NSE. A transaction fee is lower of 0.01% or ₹20 on the intraday equity and equity futures. ₹20 is charged on executed orders for equity options.
- ICICI Direct Demat account charges are ₹100. Annual maintenance charge is ₹500. This account is useful for beginners and small investors.
- Sharekhan Demat account is free to open. Annual maintenance charge is ₹450. Opening trading involves a fee of ₹750 for Classic Account and ₹1,000 for Tiger Trade account. There is no annual maintenance fee for the trading account.
- 5Paisa Demat account has an annual maintenance fee of ₹400 per annum. ₹10 is charged per executed orders on equities, options and futures. Trade account opening fee is ₹650 and there is no annual fee for this account.
- Upstox Demat account has an opening fee of ₹150 and annual maintenance charges are ₹150. Trading account annual maintenance charge is nil. There is no equity delivery brokerage.
