RBI invites applications for young professional posts

The Reserve Bank of India has opened applications for 12 Young Professional positions across its Central Office Departments in Mumbai.

The recruitment drive offers opportunities in specialised domains, including artificial intelligence, cyber security, financial markets, and climate finance. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through email until July 6, 2026.

The engagement will be on a contract basis for an initial period of three years, which may be extended up to five years.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1,50,000, subject to applicable tax deductions. However, no additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

The vacancies cover diverse areas such as Cyber Security and Information Technology Risk, Policy Analytics, Climate Change Risk and Sustainable Finance, Credit Risk Analytics, Payment Ecosystem, Domestic and Cross-Border Payment Systems, Policy and Research, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technology, Data Analysis, Financial Markets, and Data Analytics and Policy Research.

Candidates must send their applications to the given email ID. RBI has clarified that applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.

Moreover, applicants seeking multiple positions must send separate emails for each post. Eligibility varies according to the post.

Most positions require a postgraduate degree or an equivalent professional qualification in the relevant discipline.

Some roles also accept candidates with engineering degrees, Chartered Accountant qualifications, or a PhD. Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of July 6, 2026.

The application must include an updated CV, academic certificates, identity proof, a statement of interest, a sample of academic or policy writing, and a professional reference or recommendation letter. Experience certificates should also be attached, wherever applicable.

The selection process will begin with preliminary screening and shortlisting by a Screening Committee. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification, followed by an interview.

The notification was released on June 15, 2026, and the joining of selected candidates is expected between August and October 2026.

Interested applicants should complete the application process before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
