Doodle for Google Contest for Children’s Day

Tech giant Google announced this year’s Doodle for Google contest for Children’s Day. Students from classes 1 to 10 can submit their own Google Doodle to participate in the contest and win a college scholarship of ₹5 lakh.

In addition to that, the winning doodle will be featured on Children’s Day on Google’s website.

The 2019 theme of Doodle for Google is ‘When I grow up, I hope….”.

Students can integrate the theme in many ways like – flying shoes, cleaner sky, better world etc.


In other words, the contestants should show what they hope in their future.

Rules for the Doodle for Google Contest:

  • Students from class 1 to class 10 can participate in the contest and work on the above given theme.
  • They are grouped into five categories and two classes make one group.
  • Each student can send only one application. The first doodle entered will be considered if multiple doodles are sent.
  • Only original works will be allowed and copyrighted or trademarked images or logos will be disqualified.
  • Artists can use any material like crayons, clay, graphic design and even food for their creation. But, all the contestants should use the entry forms to submit their doodles.
  • Parents and teachers can submit the entry form online as a png or jpg file or courier the completed entry form with the Doodle.
  • Each doodle must incorporate the letters G-o-o-g-l-e like all other doodles.
  • The contest opens from August 1 to September 30, 2019, till 10:00 p.m.
  • The work will be judged based on artistic skills, creativity and how well the theme is communicated.

How to submit:

  • Download and print the entry form.
  • Create your doodle with any coloring material on the printed entry form.
  • Write a description of what you have drawn and how it is represented in your drawing.
  • Fill all the essential information and sign the entry form.
  • Then, submit it either online or offline.
