Mother-Son duo offers nutritional laddus to pregnant
To help provide nutritional care and Ayurvedic remedies to new mothers, a mother and son duo launched Nuskha Kitchen.
Alpana Tiwari and Viral Tiwari started this Ayurvedic kitchen to cater to the needs of pregnant women and new mothers.
There were many Ayurveda practitioners in Alpana’s family. Hence, she was well aware of the health benefits of Ayurveda. She realized that many women were not aware of the health benefits of traditional food. And some of them had no time to make the food for themselves.
In this context, Alpana wished to provide these benefits to other women also by offering nutritional laddus. She used to make laddus for those who delivered ingredients to her. She did this for a few years.
Later she decided to launch a startup. That’s how Nuskha Kitchen was born. Nuskha Kitchen is a Jaipur-based startup.
Alpana started her entrepreneurial journey with an investment of ₹20,000. But, now the startup generates revenue of around ₹2 crores.
Initially, the mother and son duo began serving 100 pregnant women. Now, thousands of pregnant women and new mothers are availing of the startup’s services.
Nuskha Kitchen offers various nutritional laddus to pregnant women and new mothers. These include oats laddu, ragi laddu, ajwain laddu, aloe vera laddu, dana methi laddu, multigrain laddu and many more.
The startup offers a prenatal healthcare guide – Garbhavastha to pregnant women. In addition to that, it provides a comprehensive postnatal care package, Orchid.
This 50-day post-delivery care package consists of 21 items, including nutritional laddus and massage oils, to help new mothers with postpartum recovery. It also comes with four hours of free counselling and guidance to the new mothers. Its cost is ₹13,500.
Another postnatal care pack, Tulip, has 12 items, which are essential for postnatal care for 50 days. It is priced at ₹8,500.
