How to save old photos in digital format
In the past, people used to save photos with negatives (plastic film). They can be printed only by the photographer or at the photo studio that has the film.
Photos give you memories. But, if they are ruined and lose their form, you might miss the memories associated with them.
Now, you can save your old photos in digital format to preserve them.
Even if you have the physical copies of your old photos, it is better to preserve them in the digital form.
The photos may get ruined due to accidental tears and discoloration.
So, if you keep them in the digital form, it helps you save a copy if the physical form is lost.
The photo albums, frames, storage boxes etc. need more space to store them. On the other hand, if you save them in an external hard drive, you can store thousands of photos and thus save space at your home.
If you have a digital version of photos, you can share your photos with other family members easily. All family members can have them.
You can also adjust the lighting of the photos for the digital photos.
For all these reasons, saving the old photos in digital format is a good idea.
