Rise with red rice
Now what on earth is red rice? You know all about white rice, how good it tastes, and how poor it is in nutritional quality as compared to the brown variety. But red rice?
That is a cousin of the brown rice. It’s rich in fiber and antioxidants, but the nutrient density is different. Both red and brown rice are harvested in normal methods, in which the outer covering is removed and cleaned. After processing, the colour of the rice depends on what type of seed is planted.
Red rice is grown in agricultural areas of India, Europe and Southeast Asia, while the brown variety is eaten all over the world, and grown everywhere.
Red rice has an antioxidant pigment called anthocyanins, which reduces symptoms of inflammation.
