Ban Plea on Finding Fanny dismissed by High Court
The PIL for banning the release of ‘Finding Fanny’ has been dismissed by the High Court. Homi Adajania’s film has received a PIL for banning it due to the use of the word ‘fanny’ in the film’s title. However, a division bench of Chief Justice E.G. Rohini and Justice R.S. Endlaw has found that there is nothing wrong in the title and has refused the ban. The film will be released on Friday as planned.
The plea was filed by Nandini Tiwari and NGO Jai Jagriti Foundation. They stated that the word ‘fanny’ was sexually explicit and should be removed from the movie, songs, posters, and banners. Nandini Tiwari, the mother of a four year old child has stated that the use of such words would pollute the minds of children.
