BSF: Filtration attacks stopped - fusion - WeRIndia

The Border Security Forces have stopped three infiltrations by heavily- armed terrorists since Saturday. These infiltrations were going to happen under the cover fire of Pakistani troops.

BSF stayed alert and foiled infiltration plans along the International Border in Hiranagar sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This has been given in statement by BSF itself. The statement said that there have been six infiltration plans from Pakistani side in the past 12 days along the border near Jammu.

Pakistan has been trying to push heavily armed assailants into India to carry out peace disrupting activities. BSF DIG Dharmendra Pareek said that they have been able to disrupt several attempts of infiltration by terrorists.

Pareek said that during the heavy cross border firing by Pakistani Rangers in Hiranagar sector, attempts were made by terrorists to get on the Indian side. On October 29, a group of three heavily-armed terrorists attempted to infiltrate into India. The BSF troops who were alert forced them to retreat using effective fire.

BSF maintained close watch on the group even after the attempt. BSF has immediately started firing on armed assailants causing them to take shelter in dead ground with thick wild growth.

On Diwali, the BSF stayed completely alert at the border to prevent anyone from entering. On the evening of Diwali, a group of terrorists tried to infiltrate.

BSF troops stayed on high alert as the nation celebrated Diwali. Knowing the intentions of Pakistan BSF stayed on the border watching carefully. Terrorists wanted to use the festival of Diwali as an opportunity to infiltrate in to the country.

The BSF used heavy fire on the infiltrators. This led to the Pakistan Rangers coming to their rescue. Pakistani rangers provided cover fire for the militants to safely escape. The terrorists were seen crawling and retreating towards Pakistan village Abhiyal Dogra.
