PM Modi's birthday marked by major welfare & infrastructure projects

Marking his 74th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues his focus on transformative projects aimed at uplifting the nation.

Yesterday, he unveiled 26 lakh houses under the PM Awas Yojana in Bhubaneswar, demonstrating the government’s dedication to providing affordable housing for the underprivileged.

During his visit to Bhubaneswar, Modi visited the Gadakana slum area and personally interacted with beneficiaries in the area.

This gesture reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the living standards of those in need.

Following this, he launched the Subhadra Yojana at Janata Maidan. This program is designed to offer financial support to poor women. Under this scheme, over 1 crore women will receive ₹10,000 annually.

This amount will be given to them in two equal instalments, for five years. The initiative aims to provide direct financial support to women in poverty, empowering them to build a more secure future.

In addition to these welfare schemes, PM Modi inaugurated a series of major infrastructure projects as well.

These include railway projects worth ₹2,871 crore and highway developments valued at ₹1,000 crore.

These projects are expected to enhance regional connectivity and spur economic growth in the region.

As part of the day’s events, several political leaders extended their greetings to the Prime Minister.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised his relentless efforts towards India’s progress.

Meanwhile, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik honoured Modi with a special sand sculpture. It symbolises the Prime Minister’s vision for a Viksit Bharat (developed India).

Over the years, Modi’s birthdays have been occasions for significant national announcements.

Last year, he launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana for artisans and craftsmen. In 2022, he led India’s Cheetah Reintroduction Project.

This year’s celebrations coincide with the BJP’s Seva Parv, reflecting his philosophy of service and dedication to the nation’s welfare.
