Though people in metro cities can find suitable jobs hassle-free, people in other places like Tier II and Tier III cities struggle to get the right positions. Here is a startup to help such people.

Mikro Grafeio, a Bengaluru-based startup, offers job solutions for people in Tier II and Tier III. People in these cities migrate to other places where they find suitable jobs.

As per sources, around 50 per cent of the working people move within the country to find the right position.

In this regard, Mikro Grafeio came up, intending to provide job solutions to people in Tier II and Tier III cities. Santhosh Mahalingam is one of the founders of the startup.

Hailing from Kozhikode, Santhosh struggled to find the right position in his home town. As a result, he had to move to Bengaluru. As part of his job, he had been to many places outside India.

During the pandemic, he noticed the problems of migrant workers. He then thought of providing an opportunity to them in their hometowns.

So, he quit his corporate job and founded Mikro Grafeio, along with Mohan Mathew, Jaishankar Seetharaman, Ranchu Nair, and Shyam Kumar.

Mikro Grafeio means a small office in Greek. As the name suggests, the startup intends to provide employment opportunities for people living in small towns.

Despite the potential infrastructure, people living in Tier II and Tier III cities are moving to metro cities for jobs. As a result, metro cities are overcrowded, while many towns and cities are struggling to thrive.

Mikro Grafeio helps companies set up their workspace in Tier II and Tier III cities and recruit local talent. It is beneficial for the companies as they can get a cost advantage by recruiting local talent at lower pay.

At the same time, employees can also get benefits as they are recruited in their hometowns. Many people are ready to work for reduced pay if they get the work in their hometowns. Thus, it is a win-win situation for both.
