Byomkesh Bakshi was adapted from Literature written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. Bandyopadhyay who was a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes wanted to make detective stories in his tone.
He successfully created detective stories but never copied from western stories.
The TV adaptation aired in 1993 TV became very popular.
Rajat kapoor played the title role of Byomkesh Bakshi and received a lot of praise.
Dekh Bhai Dekh
Dekh Bhai dekh is another landmark TV shows. It was Written and Directed by Aanand Mahendroo and Produce by Jaya Bachhan Dekh Bhai Dekh.
The show aired 1993 to 1997 on DD Metro. It is a light-hearted comedy.
Shaktiman
Shaktiman was a very popular kid’s show.
When it was airing, it was the most viewed TV show. Mukesh Khanna played the title character of Shaktiman as well as Gangadhar his normal alter ego.
Shaktiman was inspired by Superman.
Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
This is one of the most iconic TV shows of India. KSBKBT was aired in 2001. This show has a record of most episodes in Indian Television History with 1800 episodes.
The show was a story related to a joint Gujarati family.
Hum panch
Hum Panch is considered the Best comedy show of India by many.
The story is about who is of different personalities resulting in many laughs.
The ones how starred in this show all went on to become big stars.
The cast includes Ashok Saraf, Vidya Balan, Rakhi Tondon, and Vandana Pathak.
