Highlights of Mann Ki Baat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his radio programme, Mann Ki Baat yesterday. He said that people should be extra cautious now as several economic activities have opened up.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued new guidelines on Saturday to unlock India in a phased manner.
PM Modi saluted all people working for the society. He lauded the innovations of many citizens in the need of the hour.
Here are the highlights of Mann Ki Baat:
- Restrictions on movements of people and domestic air travel have been lifted. Hence, people should follow COVID-19 protocols including social distancing more sincerely. They should be more careful now.
- Though India is facing many challenges, the spread of coronavirus has been effectively controlled compared to other countries that have lesser population.
- The services of frontline warriors like doctors, police etc. are remarkable.
- Indian Railways, states and UTs are working hard to bring back migrant workers to their home places. They are also trying to control COVID-19 effectively.
- Many citizens are working towards ‘Make in India’.
- Several asanas in Yoga help strengthen the respiratory system.
- AYUSH ministry launched a competition. Citizens can participate in this competition by sending their 3-minute video on yoga.
- Many international leaders are interested in Yoga and Ayurveda.
- More than one crore people have benefited under Ayushman Bharat scheme. This scheme also solved the portability issue. Any citizen can get treatment in any part of the country under this scheme.
- Taxpayers are one of the reasons for the success of this scheme as they are contributing in the form of taxes.
- Adopting new innovations can help fight against locusts.
- World environment day is approaching. It is celebrated on June 5. Hence, people can save the environment by planting trees, saving water, and providing water for birds.
