'Baahubali 2 – What you need to know | Fusion - WeRIndia

Baahubali 1 was a sensational hit. Even before its release, the film was extremely hyped. The most expensive movie of India obviously would get so much hype.

Its sequel, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, would obviously be equally hyped. It would be no exaggeration to say that it is the most hyped movie of the year.

As the release of the film comes closer (film releases on April 28), there are many interesting things about the movies for and by fans.

Spoilers follow for the first film.

• The first movie ended with the reveal of Kattappa being the one responsible for killing Baahubali. There are several theories as to why a faithful follower did such a thing. Many say that he is forced to do so.
• The film will be released across 6,500 screens.
• The trailer of just the Hindi version has more than 34 million views on YouTube.
• Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah Bhatia and Ramya Krishnan are all coming back to reprise their roles.
• Anushkha Shetty’s character will be given a lot of importance in this movie. She will be playing the love interest of Amrendra Baahubali.
• Karan Johar, the producer of the Hindi version of the movie received a sword by the film’s director S.S. Rajamouli as a gift at the trailer launch of the film.
• In order to prepare for the role, Prabhas has worked out for many hours every day since six months prior to the start of the shooting.
• Even though S.S. Rajamouli asked Prabhas to give him one year for the project, Prabhas was so inspired by the ambition, he dedicated two years to it. He also gave up several offers for the two films.
• Rajamouli says that Mel Gibson and Ridley Scott are his all-time favorite directors.
