First Indian App to go Global
“Catch It” made by a Gurgaon based producer, will be the first Indian app to be marketed globally. The app is completely made by a team of Indians. The app supports users to share images, videos, and even contacts with other users. This app was one of the six finalist apps in the first SingTel Group-Samsung Regional Mobile App Challenge. Imran Ladiwala, the founder and chief executive of getcatchit.com has stated after receiving the finalist award that the app was made with a global audience in mind.
The challenge has received over 500 app submissions out of which only six were selected. The other finalists include Wattcost from Australia which can be used to convert a normal home into a smart home with enhanced internet network, Photo collection app Jepret Story from Indonesia, game app Epic life from Philippines, travel planner Fiuzu from Singapore and a parent teacher app which monitors the school bus journey safety of children Nugrean from Thailand.
