The World’s Biggest School – City Montessori School in India
City Montessori School in Lucknow, India is the world’s biggest school.
It is also known as CMS. The school was founded by Bharti Gandhi and Jagdish Gandhi in 1959.
The school holds a record in the Guinness Book due to its large number of pupils.
According to Guinness Book of World Records, the school had 39, 457 students in 2010 for which it was enrolled in that book.
City Montessori School has received several awards.
The school was awarded the ‘UNESCO prize for Peace Education’for promoting the universal values of education for peace.
The school was ranked by IMRB as one of the most respected schools in India. It has 45,000 students at present.
