PM inaugurates infrastructure projects in Agra

Indian government aims to provide infrastructure and improve sewage network work supply under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated road and underground sewerage system projects worth ₹1,100 crore in Solapur.

These include the four-laning of Solapur-Osmanabad section of NH-211 in addition to an underground sewerage system and three sewage treatment plants.

These projects have been inaugurated under the Swachh Bharat Mission of government. They will improve the sewer coverage of the city as well as the sanitation facilities in the area.


A housing project of 30,000 units has been started under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana here later. The cost of this project is ₹1811 crore.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for this project. The project is aimed to improve connectivity between Solapur and Marathwada region.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the Gangajal Project in Agra to improve the water supply in the area. It enables better drinking water to residents and tourists.

After launching the projects, PM addressed the rally and said that the quota bill has been passed smoothly in the Lok Sabha.

He added that some people were spreading lies, and the passage of the bill was a strong answer to them.

The total worth of the projects launched by the Prime Minister is ₹2,980 crore. These projects are related to health, sanitation and education.
