India and US share common priorities: Ivanka Trump
Being the largest democracies in the world, India and the United States share common priorities, says Ivanka Trump on the eve of her visit to India to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).
These common priorities include enhancing economic growth and reform, combatting terrorism, and improving security cooperation
Ivanka Trump, the daughter and adviser of the US President said that she is very excited to visit India. This is her first visit to India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited her to participate in the event during his state visit to the US earlier this year.
Ivanka also revealed that she had met foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and shared her admiration on India’s history and culture, and her hope for continuous progress, especially related to women.
She added that both the US and India will work jointly to improve economic opportunities and comprehensive growth of the countries. As per her opinion, the toughest challenge is to create economic opportunities and improve economic prosperity not just in the United States, but also in India, and in the entire world.
Ivanka reached Hyderabad, Telangana to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit which is scheduled today. She will address the opening session of the GES along with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
PM Modi will inaugurate the Hyderabad Metro Rail today and commercial operations will start from tomorrow i.e. 29 November.
The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’. And most of the participants are women.
The GES is being held in South Asia for the first time. It is a three-day summit and is being held from November 28-30, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) and Hyderabad International Trade Expositions (Hitex).
Tomorrow she will take part in a discussion that mainly focuses on increasing women in workforce by providing skills training, education, and mentorship.
