Government launches Khoya Paya portal

The web portal Khoya Poya has been launched by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi and Union Minister of Communication & IT, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad jointly.

It is a web portal made for the sake of exchanging information on missing and found children. It was developed by Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY).

Speaking on the occasion, Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi stated that Khoya Paya portal may be a fully distinctive plan and it originated from the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

She stated that they have another portal additionally named Track Child which is for the Ministry of Home Affairs. This portal is made for police to communicate with the police.


So the Track kid may be a restricted portal, whereas everyone can participate within the new portal. The new Khoya Paya web portal establishes citizen to citizen contact and permits India to require part in while searching for missing kids, she said. This is the first time something like this was started.

She stated that according to the data provided by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), no of missing kids each year is around 70,000. Total recovered kids since January 2012 up to April 2015 is 73597 as per the info available on track kid portal.

So a people-based web site to search kids will very be useful in locating the missing kids.
