Air India to recruit female crew members
Air India announced a walk-in recruitment drive for female cabin crew in various cities across the country. It tweeted about the recruitment drive on Twitter.
The recruitment drive starts today, i.e. on March 3 and will end by March 24. Candidates can attend the walk-in interviews between 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Mumbaikars can attend the scheduled interviews today. They can also attend an interview on March 23. The scheduled walk-in interview dates in Delhi will be March 6, 13, and 20. In Chennai and Hyderabad, interviews will be held on March 10.

The cabin crew positions are available to female candidates. Indian women with valid Indian passports are eligible to apply for the posts. They must hold an Aadhaar card and PAN card.
Those who want to apply for the jobs should be between the age group of 18 and 27 years. The prescribed age limit applies to freshers. However, the age limit for the experienced crew is 35 years.
They must have finished class 12 from a recognized board or university and have secured at least 50% marks.
Applicants should be fluent in both English and Hindi. They should have a clear vision, i.e. 6/6. The BMI range is 18 to 22.
Some key responsibilities specified are as follows: Selected candidates will have to check safety equipment for availability and functionality. They must conduct safety demonstrations for guests before the take-off of a flight. They should handle emergencies well. They include providing first aid in times of an emergency, performing emergency evacuations etc. Besides, they should also provide inflight service duties.
