PM Modi to inaugurate Aero India, Asia’s biggest air show

Aero India, the biggest air show of Asia will be start in Bangalore on Wednesday. There will be over 300 foreign firms vying with each other to align with the ‘Make in India’ campaign of Narendra Modi. This is because of the multi-billion dollar Indian defence market.

Many metal birds have already landed and prepared at the Air Force Station at Yelahanka. The IT city is ready to host the 10th edition of the biennial five day international edition of the Aerospace and aviation exhibition which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

Modi will be the second Prime Minister who inaugurated the event with the first one being H D Deve Gowda in 1996. Modi is expected to spend three hours of his time at the venue and he will witness a fly past and aerial aerobatics.

As many as 54 ministerial and other high-level delegations from several countries are slated to attend the inaugural event. Over 600 companies, including 295 Indian and 328 foreign ones, are participating in the exhibition. The US is also taking a big part at the event. There are 64 companies from US that will be present that the event to witness this air show by India. There are also 33 other countries taking part in the event.
