Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026

The Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026 is a merit-cum-means scholarship for meritorious girl students from underprivileged families.

It supports professional undergraduate education at reputed institutions across India.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must meet the following conditions:

• The scholarship is open to meritorious girl students across India.
• Applicants must have scored 75% or more marks, or an equivalent CGPA, in their Class 12 board examinations.
• The applicant’s annual family income must be less than ₹6 lakh.
• Students must have secured admission to the first year of a professional graduation programme for the 2026-27 academic year.
• Eligible courses include Engineering, MBBS, Integrated LLB, Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research, Design, Architecture and other professional courses.
• Students must study at reputed institutions, including eligible NIRF/NAAC-accredited institutions, IISER and IISc Bangalore.
• Students who have taken a one-year break after the HSC/Class 12 examination can also apply, provided they meet the other eligibility requirements.
• Children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation and Buddy4Study are not eligible.

Scholarship Benefits

• Selected scholars under the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2026-27 can receive ₹1.5 lakh annually until they complete their professional undergraduate course, subject to renewal requirements.
• The financial assistance can be used for essential education expenses, including tuition fees, hostel costs, internet, transportation, laptops, books and stationery.
• Beyond financial support, the programme offers mentoring, life-skills training, mental well-being sessions, academic guidance and professional development opportunities.
• These additional benefits aim to help scholars manage their education and prepare for future careers.

Applications for the scholarship opened on July 14, 2026, while the official application deadline is October 15, 2026, according to the Kotak Education Foundation.
