The Indian Air Force has announced the Agniveer Vayu Musician Intake (01/2026) recruitment under Group “Y” for Medical Assistant Airmen Rally.

Interested candidates can apply online between April 21 and May 11, 2025.

This rally-based recruitment aims to enlist musically skilled candidates for Air Force duties.

Rally selection is scheduled from June 10 to June 18, 2025, with further dates for the Provisional Select List and Enrollment List to be announced later.

Applicants must be unmarried and born between January 2, 2004, and January 2, 2007 (inclusive).

The minimum educational requirement is a 10th pass from a recognized board.

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Proficiency in tempo, pitch, and song rendition.
• Ability to play one instrument confidently.
• Familiarity with any music notation system (Staff notation, Tablature, Hindustani, Carnatic, etc.).
• Capability to tune instruments and identify musical notes.

Candidates must provide at least one of the following:

• Grade 5 or above certification from reputed music institutes like TCL, RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Berklee, etc.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hindustani/Carnatic Classical music from a recognized university.
• Certificates of participation or awards from music events.

Physical Standards include the following:

• Height: 162 cm (male), 152 cm (female); relaxations apply for specific regions.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Chest (male): Minimum 77 cm with 5 cm expansion.
• Vision: 6/12 each eye (correctable to 6/6), colour vision CP-II.

Fitness Tests include:

• 1.6 km run: 7 mins (male), 8 mins (female)
• Push-ups (10), Sit-ups (10 male/10 female), Squats (20 male/15 female)

Selection will include the following tests:

• Music Proficiency Test
• English Written Exam
• Physical Fitness Test (I & II)
• Adaptability Test – II
• Medical Examination
