Essay Competition for children by IRCTC
Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is organizing an essay writing competition for children. The topics for this competition are ‘Billions of Tourists for Trillions of Wealth’ and ‘Swachh Bharat (Sanitation)’. The essay writing competition is divided into four groups.
Group I consists of Students of class 11 to 12 and they are allowed to write essays of maximum of 1000 words. Group II consists of Students of class 8 to 10 and they are allowed to write essays of maximum of 400 words. Group III consists of Students of class 5 to 7 who are allowed to write essays of maximum of 300 words. Group IV is for Students of class 1 to 4 and their maximum limit for essay is 150 words.
Participants can write the essays in English, Hindi, or any other recognized Indian regional language. All the entries will be judged collectively and not separately. However, if there are 1000 or more entries in one regional language, then, a special award will be given separately for an entry in that language. There are two main prizes for each group, plus several other exciting prizes are given too. Submission of entries will be open till 17:30 hours on 31.12.2014.
