Deendayal Port Authority opens Assistant Manager Recruitment
Deendayal Port Authority has announced a fresh recruitment drive for technical and professional roles.
The Deendayal Port Authority Recruitment 2025 notification invites applications for 10 Assistant Manager posts.
These vacancies are spread across Dredger/Tugs, Floating Crafts, and Library disciplines. The jobs are based in Gandhidham, Kachchh, Gujarat.
Eligible candidates can apply online from December 17, 2025. The last date to submit the online application is January 15, 2026.
Applicants must also send a hard copy of the application by January 27, 2026.

The Assistant Manager positions are divided post-wise. There are three vacancies for Dredger/Tugs. Floating Crafts has six tentative posts. One vacancy is available for the Library discipline.
For Assistant Manager (Dredger/Tugs), candidates must hold an Engineer’s Certificate under the ISV Act, 1971. Alternatively, they may have completed a four-year marine engineering apprenticeship. Relevant sea-going or Indian Navy experience is mandatory.
For Assistant Manager (Floating Crafts), a degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Candidates must also have three years of marine electrical maintenance experience. Indian Navy personnel with a Chief Electrical Artificer qualification are also eligible.
The Assistant Manager (Library) post requires a degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science. Candidates must also possess a computer application certificate and three years of librarian experience.
All qualifications must be from UGC or AICTE-approved institutions. The crucial date for eligibility is December 1, 2025.
The pay scale for all posts ranges from ₹40,000 to ₹1,40,000 under the IDA pattern. In addition, employees will receive VDA, HRA or accommodation, cafeteria allowance, and medical benefits. Other benefits include NPS, gratuity, group insurance, and leave encashment.
The maximum age limit is 28 years as of December 1, 2025.
However, age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories, PwBD candidates, ex-servicemen, and major port employees.
Selection will be through a written examination or interview, as decided by the authority. Shortlisting will follow board-approved criteria. Final selection depends on medical fitness and document verification.
