CSI 2014 Conference
The 49th annual CSI (Computer Society of India) convention of CSI 2014 (the Golden Jubilee year of CSI) will be organized by CSI Hyderabad along with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO). The convention brings together researchers, engineers, practitioners, and developers. The CSI began in the year 1965 at Hyderabad with just a few IT enthusiasts who wanted to organize things to IT.
The specialty of CSI50 is that it will host the first ever mega student Hackathon event organized by HyderabadHackers.in. This will be a 36 hour Hackathon to build “Technology solutions for Smart Cities”. College students from more than 25 leading colleges are participating in this event. These colleges are the ones which are completely aware of contemporary technologies.
The CSI is now the largest and most professionally managed organization for the sake of IT professionals in India. At present, the organization has grown to 100,000 members. These members range from students to professionals from various backgrounds like software professionals, scientists, academicians etc.
The computer society of India has spread all throughout India with various branches. It has over 500 student branches at present in 73 different locations. The previous conventions were hugely successfully and this year’s Hyderabad convention is expected to be the same.
