Airtel revises prepaid plans
The telecom companies are regularly revising their portfolio to sustain in the market. Especially Airtel has been continuously revising its plans to compete against Reliance Jio and to stay ahead in the competition.
In this context, it has brought a few new plans with additional benefits in the place of some postpaid plans. It also reduced the cost of 4G hotspot device.
Now, Airtel has revised two of its prepaid plans at ₹129 and ₹249.
The ₹129 plan is an entry-level plan with a validity of 28 days. Now, it is available to all subscribers rather than to select users. The plan earlier offered 1GB data for the whole of its validity period of 28 days.
But, now it has been revised to offer 2GB data per day. In addition to that, it offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Furthermore, the select users have 220 local and STD voice calling minutes for a period of 28 days. Both the Airtel official website and Airtel Thanks app have the revised plan.
The revised ₹249 plan comes with many benefits. The data and calling benefits remain the same as the earlier plan. The plan offers 2GB data per day, 100 SMS per day and unlimited calling for 28 days. It also provides Airtel TV Premium subscription, Wynk Music subscription, and Norton Mobile Security for a year. You can get a cashback of ₹2,000 on buying a new 4G smartphone.
In addition to that, life cover of ₹4 lakh has been offered on the plan from Bharti AXA and HDFC Life. The subscribers aged between 18 to 54 years can avail the insurance cover. In order to avail the insurance cover, users need to recharge on a monthly basis. After that, they have to apply for the insurance via an SMS and furnish all the essential documents to authenticate.
