Use WhatsApp in your local language
Nowadays WhatsApp is one of the most effective and useful communicative tools. Majority of Indians use it for their daily personal chat as well as business communication.
This instant messaging app has more than 200 million active users in India. India is the biggest market for it.
Hence, various attractive features are introduced by it. Usage in local languages in one such among them.
WhatsApp supports around 10 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Guajarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
If you want to use WhatsApp in one of the above local languages, then here is a step-by-step process to do it:
Tap on Menu button after opening WhatsApp. Then go to Settings. Turn to Chat and open App Language. A popup appears showing all the above local languages in addition to English. Choose your desired language.
The procedure varies depends on the operating system of your phone. If you are using an Android version, then you have to follow the below mentioned process:
- Go to your phone’s Settings app
- Tap on Languages & input
- Open Languages
- Select your desired Language
- Then Tap on it and hold to position it at the top, or tap Add a language
Apple iPhone users have to follow the below mentioned process:
- Go to your phone’s Settings app
- Tap on General
- Go to Language & Region
- Choose iPhone Language
- Tap on your desired language
- Then Tap on it and hold to position it at the top, or tap Add a language
Generally, WhatsApp follows the language of your phone. For example, if your phone’s language is Hindi, then your WhatsApp will automatically be in Hindi. This rule is applicable to all other languages as well.
