Today is Christmas. There are many places around the world where Christmas is celebrated in a big way.
Yet, some Indian cities are also popular for Christmas celebrations.

Goa is one of the best destinations for any party event especially for Christmas and New Year. Goa is an ideal destination for this season. Streets in Panjim glow amazingly. People are crowded at the beaches, pubs and casinos. Eating the best plum cakes at the bakeries of Goa and riding in a cruise on Mandovi river are some enjoyable things. Churches in Goa are decorated beautifully for Christmas and walking through the streets during this season gives a memorable experience.
As Kolkata was the capital of British government once, Christmas is very exciting here. Many Anglo-Indians who live in Kolkata celebrate Christmas with great joy. There are many things to do here. Some of them are: Shopping at New Market, buying fruit cake at Nahoum etc.
Kochi has significant number of Christians and many excellent churches. Kerala itself is considered as God’s own country and Kochi is no exception for this. Churches are beautifully decorated with lights and Christmas trees, and streets are very beautiful. St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th-century is the highlight of this place. Cafés offer the best cakes of the season here.
Shimla is a hilly place to get a different experience with its snow-clad mountains and chilly nights. This hilly place surrounded by snow has many beautifully decorated places for the festival. Kalka-Shimla Toy Train gives a remarkable experience. Cafés offer cakes and coffee. The place is beautiful with decked-up malls and cottages.
