Google launches job portal in India
Less than a year ago, Google launched a new product called Google for Jobs. Now, after launching the product in the United States, Google has unveiled its job search feature in India. Google for Jobs curates listings from multiple job portals.
With a simple Google search, all of these listings can be made accessible for people looking for jobs. Some of the job portals include Headhonchos, IBM Talent Management Solutions, LinkedIn, TimesJobs, QuikrJobs, and more.
Google has said that they are working with several organizations in the industry to make sure that its curated jobs list is as comprehensive as possible.
Users can filter their job listings based on their own preferences. Users can also save jobs and share them across different platforms.
They can also sign up for alerts on their mobile phones. According to Google’s blog, job search on Google currently has over a million listings.
These listings come from over ninety thousand employers in the country, across many industries and job types.
With Google for Jobs, people can access detailed information about each job on the list. This feature allows users to choose the jobs which will allow them to utilize their specific skills.
Google for Jobs also allows its users to visualize information about the posting. This includes the job’s title, its location, and whether it is a full-time job, a part-time job, or an internship. They plan to add even more filters in the future.
In order to open up the platform and make more jobs available on it, Google has released an open documentation for all direct employers and third-party job search platforms.
Reports have also suggested that Google might be talking with Naukri.com, India’s largest job portal, for a listing partnership.
Thanks to Google for Jobs, more people will be able to find the job that is best for them, all with a simple search on Google.
