International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs
International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (IISE) is a non-profit organization in Trivandrum. It was founded by Sabriye Tenberken and Paul Kronenberg in 2007. The aims of IISE is to overcome the challenges that arise due to visual impairment and disability. The programme that takes 11 months to train participants to improve their skills in communication, leadership, management, fund raising and other essential skills to become entrepreneurs. Thus, IISE is intended to eradicate poverty, discrimination and exploitation.
Sabriye Tenberken is a German. She lost her vision at the age of 12 due to retinal diseases. She established a school, a project and an international school in addition to IISE. She has been working for disabled and visually challenged people. Paul Kronenberg is a Dutch and worked for various international Non-Governmental Organisations.
The IISE is an innovative solution for people with right motivation and potential to establish their own firms and help society as well.
