A Sand Artist is the First Indian to get World Champion title at USF World Championship
The title of World Champion at USF World Championship 2008 is won by an Indian. Sudarsan Pattnaik is the first Indian to get the title.
Sudarsan Pattnaik is a famous renowned sand artist. He has represented India in 47 international sand sculpture championship and festivals around the world.
The artist has managed to attract audience across the globe by using the seven century old sand art.
Pattnaik has used this art to promote several themes and messages like universal brother hood, peace and love.
Pattnaik generally represents issues which are global thereby breaking the cultural and national barriers.
His art has received positive in various countries like US, Holland, Russia, UK, Germany, South Korea, Japan and Singapore etc.
Sudarsan has covered a wide range of topics through his art from Global Warming to Michael Jackson.
The sand art of Michael Jackson that Sudarsan made was published on the Time magazine.
He has also worked on concepts like Wild Life species, Terrorism, HIV-AIDS, World sports, Bird flu, Swine Flu and other nature problems through his sand art.
He tries to spread awareness about these topics. He currently also has a sand art school at Puri, Orissa. It is Named Golden Sand art Institute.
