Visit Taj Mahal in Bengaluru
Taj Mahal in Bengaluru? Yes, you heard it correctly. Now, Bengalurians can visit this historical monument in the City without visiting Agra. How is it possible? Shekar, a Chennai-born Malaysian artist made it possible to visit one of the world wonders.
Taj Mahal, the wonderful monument is situated in Agra. But, if you want to visit it, you have to travel approximately 2000 kilometers which is tedious. So, 56-year old artist made an alternative to it. It was revealed in a report that was published in Deccan Herald.
Shekar designed a replica of Taj Mahal with plywood, casuarina poles, wood, fibre, Plaster of Paris silver wood, in addition to one tonne of nails. If you want to visit it, then move to Bannerghatta Road. You can find it near Jayadeva Hospital. And can visit it any day during September 10 to November 1 from 4 pm till 9 pm.
It took around two months to construct the magnificent replica in which approximately 150 workers were involved. Almost Rs. One crore was spent on this replica to bring the wonderful shape. The model Taj Mahal is 40 feet long and 70 feet by 70 feet wide. It covers the area of 200 feet by 200 feet.
