LET’SCRAP, a startup turning scrap into an opportunity of ₹crores
What began as a routine office meeting became a turning point for Anuj Bhatnagar, co-founder of LET’SCRAP.
Faced with the seemingly simple task of disposing of old DTH boxes and Wi-Fi routers, Anuj expected a streamlined waste management system.
Instead, he discovered a fragmented, outdated industry riddled with unreliable vendors, poor transparency, and no trace of professionalism.
That moment sparked a bigger idea: to bring order, technology, and trust into India’s broken scrap management ecosystem.
Launched in 2023 by Anuj Bhatnagar, Udaibhan Singh, and Amit Gautam, LET’SCRAP was built with a clear mission: to make waste disposal efficient, tech-enabled, and socially impactful.
From day one, the team focused on creating an on-demand collection platform that would work seamlessly for households, SMEs, and large corporations alike.
LET’SCRAP isn’t just another recycling service. It’s powered by:
- Electric vehicles with digital weighing scales
- Mobile and web platforms for booking pickups
- Real-time pricing tools linked to global commodity markets
- Route optimisation algorithms
- EPR compliance support for corporate clients
Customers can donate the value of their scrap to NGOs or receive digital payments. Residential colonies even have the option of installing digital collection bins for continuous drop-offs.
In just two years, LET’SCRAP has:
- Processed over 20,000 tonnes of scrap
- Expanded to 12 cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai, and Jaipur
- Served over 4,000 households and 200+ corporate clients
- Earned nearly ₹1 crore in monthly revenue
- Maintained 20–25% profit margins
- Operated fully bootstrapped with an initial investment of ₹1.2 crore from the founders’ savings
Big names like Aditya Birla Fashion Retail now use LET’SCRAP for managing large-scale industrial waste with full transparency and compliance.
Despite its success, the startup has faced several hurdles:
- Lack of public awareness about proper waste disposal
- Resistance from informal, unorganised scrap vendors
- The challenge of educating suppliers about EPR and recycling benefits
- Building trust in a traditionally opaque industry
The founders also had to balance tech development with ground operations, train collection agents, and keep costs lean while scaling.
LET’SCRAP blends profit with purpose. Beyond business, the platform helps users donate proceeds to NGOs and runs awareness campaigns on sustainability.
Every pick-up becomes a chance to promote cleaner habits and circular economy thinking.
The founders aim to expand into 50 cities, introduce AI-driven material sorting, and deepen corporate partnerships.
With India’s waste generation growing rapidly, LET’SCRAP is positioning itself not just as a recycling startup, but as a modern waste-tech movement.
Their journey proves that tech, transparency, and trust can turn even garbage into gold.
