In 2019, while many companies were cutting costs and laying off employees, three entrepreneurs from Karnataka took a different path.

Dhanvita Sathyanand, Srinidhi Rajaram, and Bharath Sathyanand founded Aecoz, a Bengaluru-based startup. It mainly focuses on producing biodegradable food packaging.

Their mission was simple yet impactful: reduce plastic waste and offer eco-friendly alternatives to the food industry.

Aecoz specializes in creating biodegradable food containers and paper-based packaging using 100% eco-friendly materials such as Kraft paper and FSC-certified paper.

Their product range includes pizza boxes, paper cups, and disposable containers that can withstand various food temperatures.

Unlike traditional packaging, Aecoz’s products are biodegradable, recyclable, and FDA-approved.

Thus, their products are a safer and more sustainable choice for businesses.

Starting out as a bootstrapped venture, Aecoz quickly gained momentum. In the early days, convincing businesses to adopt sustainable packaging was challenging.

However, the founders’ persistence and constant follow-ups with potential clients gradually paid off.

Today, Aecoz supplies packaging not only in India but also to brands across the UAE, Europe, New Zealand, and North America.

Since its launch, Aecoz has seen impressive growth. The company generated ₹10.25 crore in revenue and has already crossed ₹4 crore in FY 2024-25, with an expected annual revenue target of ₹7 crore.

Their efforts have contributed to preventing around 4 lakh kilograms of plastic waste from entering the environment, a significant achievement in the fight against plastic pollution.

In addition to its success in India and international markets, Aecoz is now expanding its reach further.

With a new office in London, the company plans to directly supply packaging to European food brands.

Looking ahead, Aecoz envisions a world where all food packaging is eco-friendly, making sustainable packaging solutions more accessible to businesses globally.

By continuing their mission, they hope to revolutionize the food packaging industry and contribute to a greener, cleaner planet.
