Locate your nearest vaccination centre
As the second wave of COVID-19 is shaking the country, the vaccination has been opened for all adults.
Now vaccination remains the only hope for citizens. In this context, many citizens want to get vaccinated. However, all the beneficiaries must register to get a vaccine in the third phase of vaccination. They can register through Aarogya Setu or CoWin portal.
Beneficiaries can avoid time waste if they know the nearest vaccination centre. To help citizens know the nearest COVID vaccine centre, WhatsApp came forward with helpline numbers. Will Cathcart, the head of WhatsApp announced on Twitter that the messaging platform partnered with health workers to help people. It will provide helplines in the form of chatbots.
For instance, the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot helps citizens find out the nearest vaccination centre.
If you want to use the MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot, save the number +919013151515. Then start your chatting by writing Namaste. After a while, you will receive an automated response. It prompts you to send your PIN code.
You have to enter the PIN, a six-digit code sent to you on your mobile number and click on the send button.
Then, you will receive a list of the nearest vaccination centres.
Alternatively, you can visit wa.me/919013151515. It takes you directly to the chatbot.
Besides, tech giants like Google are also trying to help Indian finding vaccine centres near them. It added a feature to Maps so that users can find nearby vaccination centres.
If you use Google Maps to search nearby vaccine centre, it will show all vaccination centres on the Map. It also shows if the centre is open or not.
It will be a time waste if a vaccine centre is not open after you reach it. If you try searching by visiting every centre, it will be risky as well. As you can find out whether a nearby vaccine centre is open or not with Google Maps, it will save your time and reduce the risk.
