Kamal Haasan tweets attacking TN CM
Tamil Nadu is infamous for the corruption in its government, and little about that has changed. Report after report of corrupt people doing criminal activity reaches the news constantly, and still, little has been done to bring justice to these people.
However, several have come to speak out about it, with more and more vehement attacks against the Tamil Nadu ministers.
One of these people is the famous actor Kamal Haasan, who has recently been making open political statements that question the Tamil Nadu ministers about their constant corrupt acts.
However, last Tuesday, Haasan took it one step further, and actually took a jab at the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
Hasaan posted his attack against the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Twitter, and he did not hold back in his statement. He directly questioned why no one has yet called for the resignation of Palaniswami from office.
He said that if it was done by the Chief Minister of one state, it should be done by Palaniswami in Tamil Nadu. Interestingly enough, this tweet was posted on Independence Day, as if Haasan was purposefully sending it out as an Independence Day message.
His tweet was received very popularly; it was retweeted by thousands in just a few minutes, and liked by thousands more.
Tamil Nadu ministers have of course countered the accusations that Haasan made, and even members of the BJP are coming to question the actor’s seemingly politically ambitious ways, which members of the AIADMK have been doing for some time now.
However, Haasan is not backing away from his opinion. He tweeted again, minutes after the initial tweet, about how his aim is purely for a better Tamil Nadu.
He dares people to strengthen his voice and join him in speaking out against the state’s corruption, and, in turn, dares people to challenge his voice and his views.
