The features of iPhone 6
The iPhone 6 has 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 1334 x 750 resolution. It provides 38 per cent more viewing area than iPhone 5s. The iPhone 6 Plus has an even bigger 5.5-inch Retina HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It offers 88 percent more viewing area than iPhone 5s. They are the thinnest smart phones ever made by Apple with 6.8mm and 7.1mm for both iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Yet, they are not the world’s thinnest smartphones as the credit goes to Chinese Gionee’s Elife S5.5 which has a thickness of 5.5mm.
The ‘Apple Pay’ feature with Touch ID technology offers more security and enables users to use it as a wallet. It works with majority of the credit and debit cards of the US banks. The Passbook feature helps in storing the boarding passes, tickets, coupons, and also stores credit and debit card information. Users can add credit or debit card from the iTunes account to Passbook by feeding in their card security code. The iSight camera captures card information immediately. The card whose information was entered for the first time becomes the default payment card. However, users can go to Passbook if they want to pay with another card. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have relatively better battery life. The iPhone 6 offers 14 hours of talk time on 3G and run 10 hours of browsing on 3G and 4G networks. The iPhone 6 Plus, will provide 3G talk time of 24 hours and runs for 12 hours of web browsing on 3G and 4G. In iOS 8, the motion data from M8 will be used in the Health app to track the number of flights of stairs climbed, how far you have run etc.
