You might like to travel in Air Costa in order to avail of its flat discount of Rs. 999 on all tickets and routes during its winter sale. The tickets can be booked till the end of the October month, and will be valid till March 28, 2015.

While the offer is applicable on economy as well as economy plus travel seats, they are not applicable to infants or other sections, according to Air Costa. You can see the airline flying across various parts of South India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Coimbatore and Tirupati. Other cities it touches include Jaipur in the north and Ahmedabad in the west.

Another set of discounts is available from AirAsia India, which also is managed in Southern India. It offers discounted rates for travel till March 31, 2015, if you make your bookings by November 2, 2014.

This is not the first set of discounts offered by airlines in India, of course. There have been many promotional plans to lure flyers. When low-priced air tickets are offered by Indian airlines, it is obvious that the number of passengers has grown by 8.3 per cent compared to July this year, according to official data. The updated figures show that the number of domestic passengers that have been carted by the airlines has grown from 52.60 lakh in July to 56.97 lakh in August.
