AIIMS opens NORCET 10 Recruitment for nursing officer posts
India’s premier medical institute has opened a major recruitment drive for nursing professionals across the country.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has announced the 10th phase of the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) for 2026.
The recruitment aims to fill 2,551 Nursing Officer posts in various AIIMS institutions. The online application process began on 24 February 2026.
Candidates can submit their forms until 16 March 2026 through the official AIIMS website. The fee payment deadline is also set for the same date.
Meanwhile, the examination for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test is scheduled for 11 April 2026.
The admit cards will be released shortly before the exam. However, authorities will announce the result date later.
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of 16 March 2026.
Educational qualifications include a B.Sc. A nursing degree or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery. Additionally, diploma holders must possess at least two years of experience in a 50-bed hospital.
Candidates must also be registered with the State Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council.
The application fee varies across categories. Candidates from the General and OBC categories must pay ₹3,000.
Meanwhile, applicants belonging to SC, ST, and EWS categories need to pay ₹2,400. However, persons with disabilities (PwD) are exempted from paying any application fee.
The recruitment process will take place in two stages. First, candidates must appear for the preliminary computer-based test (CBT).
Those who qualify will move to the second stage, which is the mains CBT examination. Final selection will depend on performance in these stages.
Interested candidates should complete the online application process before the deadline. They can apply directly through the AIIMS website by filling out the required details and uploading the necessary documents.
